Honesty ~ Most of us think of ourselves as being honest people, but are we really? Are you always honest with yourself, or do you kid yourself sometimes, that things are right, what you say, do, think?
Of course, those around us aren’t always honest and truthful, but that is theirs to carry, not yours. You can’t necessarily expect the truth from all. When it comes to you though, yes, you can, and should be honest with yourself, be truthful. Act, speak and think truthfully and be prepared to stand by your truth.
Once you start being, seeing and doing things from truth, a weight will feel as though it has been lifted. You see, you know deep down when you’re not being honest with yourself, and it serves no good. Try really being honest and truthful with you, and with others and see what a difference it makes. Sometimes it will take strength and courage, but you too, have inner strength to face all things.
Make sure that when you are truthful and honest that you don’t then let go of why you are being so. It is easy to fall into the trap of ego, and to use your honesty and truthfulness as a tool to massage your ego and to feel superior to others. Be honest and truthful from the heart and only from the heart.
Take time today, to just be. Look at those areas where you are being as you feel others want you to be. The actions you take which are to please others. The words you speak which are those you know the other wishes to hear. Then tell yourself, I can be truthful and honest with myself and to others and I shall do so lovingly and from the heart. Always.
