Last night as I was looking through my my photos I had the idea to do a weekly diary here in the blog to share what I’d spied during the week. I am a bit of a wildflower nut, but I know I’m not alone in this. Flowers are uplifting, have messages for us if we care to look and listen. Next time a flower catches your eye, just stop for a few seconds and really look at the flower. What colour is it? What shape are the petals and how many are there? Where is it growing? Does it have any visiting insects? How does it make you feel? Just be with the flower and take note of anything which comes to you, dismiss nothing. Flower psychometry or floriography is a gift we all have if we allow it.
Onto the flowers now and one of a lovely sunset yesterday. I hope you enjoy the photos.
I’ve yet to pinpoint a couple of flowers and realise I should have made some note of there features. I may well take one of the flowers each week or perhaps more, and write a bit about them in more depth including any traditional uses. Remember, these beautiful flowers or at least quite a lot of them were the medicine cabinet of our ancestors!
So next time you’re out and about, take time to really look, see and feel that connection to nature – who knows what seeds that may sow.
Until next week, on this subject anyway, I wish you a happy and floriferous week :-)
Blessings.
