This subject has become somewhat a fascination with me and it initially came about during learning how to ‘read’ flowers. Geometry was a subject I never really quite ‘got’ when I was at school many years ago. I actually think I’m starting to understand it. I’d certainly never heard of sacred geometry.
Nowadays though, it is easy to find illustrations and articles about sacred geometric shapes such as Metatron’s Cube, Flower of Life etc.
I’m currently ploughing through this book, ‘The Hidden Geometry of Flowers’ by Keith Critchlow. It’s not a light read, but oh, what an eye opener. I shall never look upon a flower in the same way again.
I’ve pulled out some of my own photos of flowers to really look into the geometry of flowers and also have started drawing my own geometrical drawings. I’m still pretty much a novice, but, I’m so fired up by this, that I want to share…
Do you see what I see? Well, I’ve lots to practice and a decent compass to find and lots more to read. Next time you’re on a walk… Take a closer look at the flowers!
