Do you have exams coming up shortly? Have a deadline to meet at work but struggling to concentrate? Needing to make important decisions? Here’s a natural way to help ~ and you can ditch the coffee and sugary snacks that give you the temporary lift too? How? Read on…
By using colour, aroma and crystals you can aid concentration and clarity of thought, needed at some point everyday, but particularly if you’re studying or needing to make those hard decisions. Let me explain ~ and, I am also going to share with you how to make yourself a beautiful little room spray, perfect for a quick fix!
Green ~ obviously is the colour of nature and is refreshing and calming ~ thinking upon green, wearing something green, using a green ray oil can refresh you and calm you down so you can think straight.
Yellow ~ very uplifting and aids creativity and is linked to the seat of your power ~ Use of yellow will aid clarity of thought to assist in both studying and in making decisions in life.
Add some crystals and essential oils to the mix and you’re away. Peppermint is very refreshing and uplifting to the mind as is the crisp smell of lemons ~ try putting a drop of each on a tissue to inhale, or burn some in a diffuser. Peppermint of course holds green within it, and lemon the yellow ray. When I’m studying I love a cup of peppermint tea in my breaks, with a little honey added (yellow ray) but lemon tea of course is equally good, it’s down to preference. But, you can see how easy it is to help yourself. Now to add some crystals into the mix….
Jade and Green Tourmaline ~ Both good for concentration and clarity of thought. Keep a few tumbled stones in your work place, or pop them into a little gauze bag and keep them in your pocket, or just hold them in your free hand.
So any one of the above will assist, but if you put all three together ~ wow, you’re on the right track.
Now, I said I would share how to make a little room spray for yourself. You’ll need ~
A small atomiser bottle ~ (you can get these in the holiday/toiletry bits and bobs in Superdrug if you want to or online and hold 50ml).
Distilled/Deionised Water
Alcohol ~ Vodka or Brandy works best. I prefer vodka as it is clear and has little odour. This alcohol acts to disperse the oil in the water. You can buy dispersant, but it is expensive.
Essential oils of you choice. Play around with the mix. You might prefer just one oil, or might like more lemon than peppermint. The choice really is yours.
METHOD
Take your bottle and put 10 ml of alcohol in the bottom (assuming it’s a 50 ml bottle) ~ then add 5 drops of oil(s) into the alcohol and swish about to disperse the oil within the alcohol. Then top up with the water. Give it a good old shake and spray! Besides using in the room, you can also use the spray as a personal spritzer. Hold above the head ~ a quick spray ~ and feel the cooling mist come down around you. Lovely :-)
Warning: Don’t spray directly onto fabrics! Shake well before each use.
If you don’t want to make a spray yourself, I am happy to make one for you. £5 inc P & P ~ just contact.
